Shipping Policy for Douvty
At Underwinds, we want to ensure that your shopping experience is as seamless and pleasant as possible, from the moment you place your order to when your beautiful furniture arrives at your door. This Shipping Policy provides important information about our shipping procedures, including delivery times, fees, and other essential details.
1. Shipping Locations
We currently offer nationwide shipping within the United States. We ship to all 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii. Please note that some locations, especially remote or rural areas, may have different delivery timelines or require special shipping arrangements.
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer international shipping.
2. Processing Time
- Order Processing: Once you place an order, we will begin processing it within 1-3 business days. Orders placed over the weekend or on holidays will be processed the next business day.
- Custom Orders: If you order a custom piece or a special order, processing times may vary. We will notify you if additional processing time is required.
3. Shipping Methods and Delivery Times
We work with trusted carriers to deliver your furniture quickly and safely. Shipping times vary based on your location, the product you ordered, and the delivery method selected.
- Standard Shipping: Most of our furniture is shipped via standard ground shipping, which usually takes Two to Three weeks for delivery, depending on your location.
- White Glove Delivery: For larger or heavier furniture items (such as sofas, dining tables, or beds), we may offer White Glove Delivery. This premium service includes delivery, placement of the item in your desired location, and removal of packaging materials. White Glove Delivery typically takes 14-21 business days.
- Expedited Shipping: In some cases, expedited shipping may be available for an additional fee. If you need an item sooner, please contact our customer service team at contact@ douvty.com to inquire about faster delivery options.
Note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on factors such as weather, high-demand periods, or logistical challenges.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the item(s) and the delivery location. During checkout, we will provide an estimated shipping cost based on your order details.
- Free Standard Shipping: For many products, we offer free standard shipping on orders within the contiguous United States.
- Shipping Fees for Remote Areas: Additional shipping fees may apply for deliveries to remote or hard-to-reach locations. In such cases, we will notify you during the checkout process.
- White Glove Delivery Fees: White Glove Delivery is a premium service that may incur an additional charge, depending on the size and weight of the item(s).
5. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. This email will contain a tracking number and a link to the carrier’s website so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

6. Damaged or Defective Items
We take great care in packaging and shipping your furniture to ensure that it arrives safely. However, if your order arrives damaged or defective, please follow these steps:
- Inspect the Item Upon Delivery: If possible, inspect your furniture before signing for the delivery. If there is any visible damage, please note it on the delivery receipt.
- Report the Damage: Contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to report any damage. We will require photos of the damaged item(s) to process the claim.
- Replacement or Refund: Once the damage is confirmed, we will arrange for a replacement or issue a refund, depending on your preference and the circumstances.
7. Order Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. If your order has already been processed or shipped, we may not be able to cancel it, but we can offer a return or exchange once the item arrives.

8. Returns and Exchanges
We want you to love your furniture. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can initiate a return or exchange. Please review our Return and Refund Policy (insert link) for detailed instructions on how to return or exchange an item.
- Return Timeframe: Returns must be requested within 30 days of receiving the item.
- Condition of Return: All returned items must be in new, unused, and unassembled condition. Items must be returned in their original packaging.
- Return Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or damaged upon delivery.
9. Delivery Restrictions
Please note that certain locations may have delivery restrictions or special requirements. For example:
- PO Boxes & APO/FPO Addresses: Unfortunately, we cannot ship large furniture items to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
- Gated Communities: If your delivery is to a gated community, please ensure that you provide access information at checkout to avoid any delays.

10. Special Delivery Instructions
If you have special delivery instructions (e.g., specific placement of furniture, restricted access, etc.), please include them in the "Notes" section at checkout. While we will do our best to accommodate your requests, some limitations may apply depending on the delivery method and carrier.
11. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii
We do ship to Alaska and Hawaii, but shipping costs and delivery times may vary. Because of the nature of shipping to these states, additional charges may apply. For more details, please contact us before placing your order to get an accurate shipping quote.
